Builders see Maryland project as future of telecommuting, post-pandemic housing

The duration of the coronavirus pandemic is uncertain. More certain is a post-pandemic “new normal” whose ultimate attributes are likewise uncertain. Among such attributes that probably will be affected are transportation and travel behavior, as well as real estate projects, for which telecommuting could substantially define the new normal. One such real estate project is the Hub at La Plata, a proposed, mixed-use community abutting the west side of the town of La Plata in Charles County, Md. The project and its annexation are under consideration by the La Plata Town Council. (Wash Post)
