Developing Economies

Companies that create jobs are attracted to places. Families decide to live in places. Maryland needs a more place-oriented approach to economic development – to continue to grow… and grow in a more sustainable way. Maryland’s cities, towns and counties are competing with their counterparts in neighboring states – and around the world. Our growth, investment and infrastructure policies – which now lack coordination or a unifying vision – need to be focused to meet that challenge.
